Safety Officer – Semiconductor Construction Project (Gujarat, India)

About the role

We are embarking on a cutting-edge semiconductor construction project in Gujarat, requiring a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to ensure the highest standards of workplace safety and compliance. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project with international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures in line with local regulations and international best practices.
• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and enforce corrective measures.
• Coordinate safety training programs for all site personnel.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and project management teams to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and recommend preventive actions.
• Maintain safety documentation and ensure timely reporting to relevant authorities.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement on site.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer or Safety Coordinator in construction projects.
• Prior experience working on construction projects in Singapore is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of local safety regulations in India and international safety standards.
• Proven ability to manage safety in large-scale, complex construction environments.
• Excellent communication skills in Hindi and English.
• Relevant safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively with multicultural teams and contractors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month

Supplemental Pay:
