Safety Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Officer to join our team. The Safety Officer will be responsible for promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines. The successful candidate will conduct regular inspections, implement safety policies, and lead training programs to minimize risks and hazards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
• Inspect equipment, work areas, and processes to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical analysis to management.
• Lead safety meetings and provide training on safety topics such as PPE usage, emergency response, and safe work practices.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training activities.
• Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety tools.
• Collaborate with HR and operations teams to ensure workplace health and safety.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of legislation (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001) and procedures.
• Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety.
• Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, or equivalent) preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in [industry-specific experience, e.g., construction, manufacturing, oil & gas].
• Familiarity with safety management systems (SMS).

Working Conditions:

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
