Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in environmental engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS roles within the construction sector, with a proven track record of implementing and managing EHS programs on-site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Sr. Engineer / Manager - EHS will be responsible for implementing and monitoring environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures on-site. This role involves ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, conducting safety inspections, and promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across the project.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • EHS Compliance: Implement and enforce EHS policies and procedures on-site, ensuring compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and company guidelines.
  • Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken. Maintain detailed records of inspections and incidents.
  • Training: Provide EHS training and awareness programs for site personnel to promote a safe and compliant working environment. Ensure that all staff are knowledgeable about safety procedures and protocols.
  • Incident Management: Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Ensure timely reporting of incidents as per regulatory requirements.
  • Environmental Management: Monitor and manage environmental aspects related to the project, including waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update EHS records, including safety data sheets, training records, and compliance documentation. Prepare and submit reports as required.
  • Coordination: Work closely with site management, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure EHS requirements are integrated into project activities. Coordinate with regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving EHS performance and promote best practices. Stay updated with changes in regulations and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
