Safety Officer-Manufacturing

Location : Kheda,Gujarat

Key Responsibilities:

• Policy & Compliance: Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures specific to stone/metal/resin work, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements.
• Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment: Conduct regular inspections (site, equipment, lifting gear, PPE) to identify hazards in carving, casting, polishing, and moving large statues.
• Training & Awareness: Deliver training on PPE (respirators for dust, harnesses for height), safe lifting, emergency response, fire safety, and hazard communication.
• Incident Management: Investigate accidents, injuries, or near misses (e.g., falls, material handling incidents), determine root causes, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of audits, incidents, training, permits (hot work, confined space), and safety data sheets (MSDS).
• Emergency Preparedness: Oversee fire safety systems (extinguishers, hydrants), conduct drills, and manage on-site emergency plans.
• Liaison: Coordinate with management, workers, and external agencies (like Factory Inspectorate) on safety matters.
• Promotions: Organize safety campaigns, competitions, and awareness programs (Safety Week).

Key Requirements:

• Min 3 to 5 yrs of exp as a Safety Officer in manufacturing/heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of Indian Factories Act, OSHA, and relevant HSE standards.
• Certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, Safety Diploma) are often required.
• Excellent communication, training, and auditing skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with physical hazards

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
