Job Description

As a Safety Officer at the Airline, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the operations. Your responsibilities will include: - Carry out the duties and responsibilities specified by the Company and monitor crew performance. - Monitor Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) as per regulatory requirements. - Cross check load and trim of aircraft regularly to maintain safety standards. - Maintain hazards and incidents log, and conduct trend analysis to identify potential risks. - Ensure cabin safety aspects and apron discipline are adhered to at all times. - Monitor Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) of crew members and minimize violations. - Keep track of the training status of all operational personnel. - Assist the Head of Flight Safety in the day-to-day management of the Safety Management System. - Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to address quality and safety issues effectively. - Conduct independent audits and investigations as directed to identify areas for improvement. - Provide specialist advice on hazard management and support safety committee proceedings. - Stay updated on best industry practices and regulatory changes for continuous improvement. - Maintain records of safety performance and corrective actions taken to enhance safety measures. In addition to the key responsibilities, you will have safety accountabilities that include: - Assisting in the day-to-day management of the Safety Management System. - Working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to address quality and safety issues. - Ensuring appropriate briefing on all aspects of Quality and Safety performance to the Head of Flight Safety. - Conducting independent audits and investigations as required to maintain safety standards. - Identifying opportunities for improvement and providing specialist advice. - Promoting the Safety Management System and monitoring industry practices for enhancements. - Maintaining records of safety performance and corrective actions taken to mitigate risks. - Intervening to prevent unsafe conditions from developing and reporting potential hazards. - Reporting incidents, accidents, and near misses promptly. - Being aware of human factors and limitations, and familiarizing yourself with relevant safety information. - Identifying quality and safety improvements, cooperating with audits, and investigations for continuous improvement.,
