Key Responsibilities: Safety Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure full adherence to safety regulations, standards, and policies to create a hazard-free workplace. Hazardous Chemical Management: Oversee safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals, maintaining strict compliance with industry protocols. Incident Investigation & Reporting: Conduct thorough root cause analysis for incidents and near misses, implementing robust corrective and preventive measures. Training & Awareness: Lead impactful safety training programs, equipping employees with the knowledge to handle chemicals safely, respond to emergencies, and follow best safety practices. Workplace Audits & Inspections: Conduct regular audits and inspections, proactively identifying risks and driving corrective actions. Emergency Response Coordination: Develop and implement effective emergency response plans, ensuring organizational preparedness for safety incidents. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with national and international safety standards, liaising with regulatory bodies as required. Safety Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of safety incidents, training programs, audits, and compliance reports for continuous improvement. Key Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, Diploma in Industrial Safety) are highly desirable. Experience: At least 4 years of industrial safety experience , with significant exposure to chemical industry safety practices and hazardous materials management . Prior experience in the solar or renewable energy sector is an added advantage. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of hazardous chemical safety protocols, industrial safety standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, etc.), and emergency response strategies . Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work in rotational shifts, ensuring continuous safety supervision and compliance.
