Job Description

1Financial Ensure smooth functioning of the plant and for complying with EHS and other safety norms Provide cost estimates and technical support for proposals
Provide promotional materials and develop and administer recognition systems to promote safe work performance Focus on safety as the key priority and try to achieve cost reduction while maintaining the safety of the plant workers and the equipment
Drive loss control efforts utilizing up-to-date incident analysis data to achieve the greatest impact for continued reduction in injuries, property damage, and environmental losses Take initiatives to drive growth for DCBL and ensure sustained growth in line with long-term and short-term objectives of the organization 2

Customer Partner with plant operations and the employee safety teams to drive continuous improvement in the work environment, to build a safety awareness culture, and to promote and reinforce safe behaviors Collect feedback from the production staff to get acquainted with their apprehensions about occupational hazards Be the plant liaison for Corporate Safety initiatives by the organization or external public/private bodies 3
Operations Lead the annual inspection of the plant to assure safe and healthful conditions for workers
Prepare appropriate notices for management to issue for abatement of any identified hazards Ensure that all the equipment is safe to use and checked for maintenance regularly Serve as the location subject matter expert for safety and health Assist management in investigating accidents and developing measures to prevent recurrences Record all accident reports digitally in a timely, complete, and accurate manner
Assure that claims for injuries and illnesses are posted in the defined safety log Visit job sites to conduct safety audits on personnel, equipment and materials
Inspect equipment and machinery to observe any possible non-compliance from EHS policy/CPCB/PCB standards Implement emergency action plans in case of disastrous situations uncalled for like chemical spills, mill blasts, etc
Ensure appropriate safety signs have been installed across the plant premises Ensure all government regulations and legal requirements are adhered to while manufacturing activities are undertaken within the plant Conduct awareness days like Fire Day, National Safety Day, Road Safety Week, World Environment Day etc
in the plant premises Ensure initiation and sensitization of the employees towards digitization and automation of the processes Focus on utilization of advanced business analytics tools to derive key insights critical for the success of the organization 4
Self/ Team Development Provide appropriate safety and health, accident prevention, and investigation training for the plant personnel Review and monitor performance of team members and provide requisite developmental support/ inputs Recommend training as required for team s development
Develop the team and update their knowledge base to cater the organization need Strategize avenues for enhancing employee satisfaction in the function, resulting in high engagement levels of employees
