Safety Engineer

As a Safety Engineer at RINA's Lucknow office within the International Infrastructure & Mobility Division, your primary focus will be on ensuring the safety of all stakeholders at the site. You will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of safety by fostering awareness, communication, and active participation in safety initiatives. Your key accountabilities will include conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards and developing strategies to mitigate them. You will be responsible for performing regular safety inspections of work areas, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Additionally, you will develop and deliver safety training programs to educate employees on safe work practices and procedures. In the event of accidents, incidents, or near-misses, you will investigate to determine the root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. You will also be tasked with developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to promote a safe work environment. Conducting safety audits to assess compliance with regulations and identify areas for improvement will also be part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline and have at least 5 years of experience in construction and safety. Knowledge of technical standards, construction methodologies, and proficiency in English language skills, both communicative and in writing, are essential. Possession of a driving license and computer skills in Word and Excel will be beneficial.
