Senior Software Engineer (Rust)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance, secure, and reliable backend services using

  Rust

  .
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with strong adherence to

  SOLID principles

  and modern design patterns.
• Architect and implement

  microservices

  using patterns such as

  CQRS, Saga, Circuit Breaker, API Gateway, Service Discovery

  , etc.
• Develop

  multi-threaded

  , concurrent applications with deep understanding of Rusts

  ownership model and memory management

  .
• Conduct performance benchmarking, identify bottlenecks, optimize systems, and utilize profiling tools like

  AppDynamics, Dynatrace

  , etc.
• Build robust event-driven and distributed applications leveraging

  Kafka

  ,

  MongoDB

  ,

  Redis

  , and related technologies.
• Work with

  Docker

  ,

  Kubernetes

  , and containerized deployments for scalable production environments.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables using

  CI/CD

  , code quality tools (

  SonarQube, Checkmarx/Fortify

  ) and security best practices.
• Implement secure authentication mechanisms including

  SSO, JWT, OAuth

  , etc.
• Participate in architectural discussions, influence technical decisions, and guide multiple cross-functional teams.
  
• Troubleshoot distributed systems, ensure operational resiliency, and maintain monitoring/observability standards.
  
• Collaborate effectively in

  Agile environments

  , contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Drive technology evaluations, benchmarking, and adoption of best-in-class tools and frameworks.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years

  of hands-on development experience, with

  minimum 8 years in Rust

  for SSE role.
• Strong foundation in

  Rust

  , and familiarity with

  C++ or Java

  .
• Extensive experience working with

  structs, traits, smart pointers, cargo

  , and popular Rust crates.
• Proven ability to build

  production-grade applications

  with high performance and reliability.
• Expertise in

  distributed systems

  ,

  microservices

  , and

  event-driven architectures

  .
• Strong understanding of

  CI/CD

  , automated testing, and DevSecOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with API gateways such as

  3Scale

  ,

  Kong

  , etc.
• Knowledge of

  banking, financial services, or fintech

  domains is preferred.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills; ability to mentor teams and present ideas to senior/executive management.
