Ruby on Rails Developer

As a Ruby Developer with 4-7 years of experience, you have the opportunity to join Perforce Software, one of Uplers" Clients, where you will be part of a geo-distributed team working on building new products in a modern tech stack. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, implementing, testing, and supporting software products and solutions. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced agile environment, ensuring timely shipment of enterprise-quality products over various platforms. Your key responsibilities will involve independently developing multiple features, tests, and significant parts of a single product within a team. You will be responsible for delivering multiple releases on time based on the agreed-upon roadmap and influencing the direction and work of more junior engineers on the team. Additionally, you will contribute extensively to Open Source and commercial products, drive initiatives for continuous improvement, mentor other engineers, and make recommendations to enhance processes, tools, and implementation. To be successful in this role, you are required to have a BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent, along with 4-7 years of professional software development experience. Proficiency in Ruby is a must, as well as experience in deploying, managing, and scaling applications using Kubernetes. Knowledge of databases like PostgreSQL, experience with Continuous Integration systems like Jenkins, writing tests, and using testing frameworks are also essential. Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting skills, and a proactive mindset are key attributes for this role.
