Rough Block Marker

• Inspection and Quality Control: Examining large, rough granite blocks or quarry faces for defects, impurities, cracks, uniform texture, and pleasing colors to determine commercial value and end-use potential.
• Specification Conformance: Measure and test materials (e.g., density, water absorption, bending strength) to ensure they conform to work orders, client specifications.
• Material Classification: Categorizing granite based on quality, variety (e.g., Black Galaxy, Steel Grey), and size, ensuring proper segregation and documentation before transportation to the processing plant.
• Documentation and Inventory: Recording material details, production data, and assisting in maintaining an organized inventory of raw blocks.
• Attention to Detail: Crucial for identifying subtle quality variations and marking precise cut lines.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with different types of granite, their properties, and the use of relevant hand and power tools is necessary.
• Teamwork and Communication: The ability to coordinate effectively with other quarry workers, site managers, and processing teams.
• Material Handling: Mark items for acceptance or rejection and quarantine non-conforming materials.
• Supplier Communication: Liaise with vendors to investigate and resolve issues with rejected materials.
• Documentation: Record inspection data, test results, and document any non-conformances or defects.
• Reporting: Prepare reports on inspection findings and submit them to supervisors or quality managers.
• Process Improvement: Communicate quality standards to production staff and recommend adjustments to the extraction or processing methods to improve overall product quality and efficiency.
• Quarry Surveying: Must Have the ability to visit various granite quarries in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradhesh.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
