Job Description

As a Rotational Pharmacy Technician at NHS Borders, you will have the opportunity to broaden your experience in a dynamic hospital environment. This Band 4 role offers a salary range of 30353 - 33016 per annum pro rata for a 0.86WTE post (31.82 hours). **Role Overview:** In this rotational position, you will gain experience in various key areas of hospital pharmacy practice, including: - Dispensary Services: Supporting safe and efficient supply of medicines, patient counselling, and stock management. - Aseptic Services: Assisting in the preparation of sterile products, such as chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition, in a cleanroom environment. - Clinical Rotations: Medical wards, Surgical wards, Frailty services, Medicine of the Elderly. You will collaborate closely with pharmacists and the multidisciplinary team to support medicines optimisation and patient care. **Key Responsibilities:** - Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Confidence in using IT systems and managing data. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Commitment to continuous professional development. **Qualifications Required:** - Registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Confidence in using IT systems and managing data. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Commitment to continuous professional development.
