Role & responsibilities Rotating Equipment Engineer: Design, selection, and specification of rotating machinery such as: Centrifugal and reciprocating pumps Compressors (screw, centrifugal, reciprocating) Gas turbines and steam turbines Diesel engines and gearboxes Prepare technical datasheets, equipment specifications, and inquiry requisitions. Evaluate vendor bids and perform technical bid analysis. Review and approve vendor documents, GA drawings, datasheets, P&IDs. Participate in HAZOPs, model reviews, FATs, and SATs. Ensure compliance with API/ISO standards (e.g., API 610, API 617, API 618). Interface with process, piping, civil, instrumentation, and electrical teams to ensure integrated equipment design. Coordinate complete packaged equipment (e.g., Chemical Injection Packages, Lube Oil Systems, Fire Water Pumps). Prepare RFQs, evaluate offers, and lead technical clarifications. Work closely with vendors to ensure timely document submittals and compliance with specifications. Monitor package progress, including engineering, manufacturing, inspection, and delivery.
