Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Robotics Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in robotics engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing mobile robotic systems for various applications. As part of our team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, prototyping, and testing advanced robotic platforms to meet specific project requirements. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, creativity, problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovation in the field of robotics.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop mobile robotic systems for diverse applications, including but not limited to industrial automation, logistics, healthcare, and consumer robotics.

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers to ensure successful integration of robotics systems.

3. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed robotic designs, considering factors such as performance, safety, and scalability.

4. Utilize CAD software to create detailed mechanical designs and assemblies of robotic components, ensuring adherence to design specifications and standards.

5. Prototype and iterate on robotic designs through hands-on fabrication, assembly, and testing of mechanical, electrical, and software components.

6. Implement control algorithms and sensor fusion techniques to enable autonomous navigation, manipulation, and perception capabilities in robotic systems.

7. Optimize robotic systems for performance, efficiency, and reliability through iterative design improvements and experimentation.

8. Document design specifications, test procedures, and results in technical reports, and communicate findings to internal stakeholders and clients.

9. Stay current with advancements in robotics technology, industry trends, and best practices, and apply relevant knowledge to enhance the capabilities of our robotic platforms.

10. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall growth and success of the robotics team.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

2. 5+ years of experience in designing and developing mobile robotic systems, including hands-on experience with robotic hardware and software.

4. Strong knowledge of robotics principles, including kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, and control theory.

5. Experience with robotic sensors and perception technologies such as LiDAR, cameras, and depth sensors.

6. Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in robotics development, such as C/C++, Python, and ROS (Robot Operating System).

7. Familiarity with mechatronics, electromechanical systems, and electronic prototyping tools (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi).

8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

9. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

10. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and deliver high-quality results on schedule.
