Robotic BackEnd Developer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Django Developer with experience in Robot Operating System (ROS2) and mobile robotics to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development, particularly using the Django framework, combined with hands-on experience in developing and integrating software for mobile robots using ROS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Django to support our robotics platforms.
• Collaborate with the robotics engineering team to integrate web applications with ROS-based robotic systems.
• Develop RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between web services and robotic hardware.
• Implement real-time data visualization and control interfaces for mobile robots.
• Ensure the security, performance, and scalability of web applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues related to both web and robotic systems.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation processes.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in Django, ROS2, and mobile robotics technologies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Django Developer with a strong portfolio of web applications.
• Hands-on experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) and its core components.
• Experience in developing software for mobile robotics, including navigation, control, and perception.
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ROS 2.
• Familiarity with robotic hardware such as sensors, actuators, and embedded systems.
• Understanding of machine learning and computer vision applications in robotics.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
