In this role as a Risk Model Validation at Barclays, you will play a crucial part in reviewing stress testing models within the Trading Risk Independent Validation team. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of these models to support the bank's risk management strategies. **Key Responsibilities:** - Review stress testing models to assess their suitability for specific usages and scopes - Evaluate and approve or reject models based on their conceptual soundness, performance, and documentation clarity - Assess compensating controls used to mitigate model risk - Document validation findings and recommendations in clear reports for model improvement - Design frameworks and methodologies to measure and quantify model risk **Qualifications Required:** - Postgraduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, physics, or quantitative finance - Proficiency in mathematical skills including probability, statistics, calculus, linear algebra, and numerical methods - Strong programming skills in languages like Python, C++, or Matlab As a successful Risk Model Validation, you may also possess: - Understanding of various traded risk modelling approaches - Knowledge of financial products pricing and fundamentals - Exposure to stress testing frameworks like IST or CCAR The role is based in Noida and will require you to demonstrate key critical skills such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology expertise.
