Risk Analyst - Campus Hire

Role Overview: As a Risk Analyst - Campus Hire at Deutsche Bank in Mumbai, India, you will be part of the Risk division responsible for managing and controlling credit, market, operational, and reputational risks. You will play a crucial role in analyzing credit risks, monitoring operational risks, managing market risks, and independent valuation of balance sheet positions. Your responsibilities will include accurate credit analysis, risk monitoring, decision-making analysis, market data analytics, valuation risk control, and enterprise-level risk management. Key Responsibilities: - Undertake accurate and timely credit analysis of counterparties by identifying business and financial risks, preparing cash flow models, and peer analysis. - Write rating reports and credit reviews for recommendation to senior members. - Actively participate in live trades, understand trade dynamics, and provide recommendations. - Monitor limits/exposure and update relevant data in the credit system. - Identify risk challenges, monitor emerging risks, and provide insights. - Prepare decision-making materials for effective risk monitoring. - Perform quality assurance on new products/transactions and risk framework inputs. - Conduct production and data analytics of risk metrics at asset and portfolio level. - Perform impact analysis of changes in market data on market risk metrics. - Execute market risk calculation processes, manage SLAs and KPIs. - Conduct VaR and backtesting analysis at asset class and portfolio level. - Perform IPV processes on various financial products and publish results to stakeholders. - Prepare MIS pack presentations and report to senior management. - Coordinate accountability of critical risk reports and undertake targeted risk reviews. - Provide guidance on timelines, expected content, and ensure quality control over deliveries. Qualification Required: - Professional qualifications such as MSc, MA, MBA, CA, CFA, etc. - Experience or understanding of risk within the financial market or investment banking industry. - Strong analytical skills, knowledge of financial markets, and economic/industry trends. - Strong accounting background, financial statement analysis, and cash flow projections. - Excellent communication skills to articulate technical and financial topics. - Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. - Ability to work in a dynamic, international, and diverse environment under tight deadlines.
