Job Description

Role Overview: As a member of the Forensic Corporate Intelligence (CI) team at KPMG in India, you will be responsible for conducting various research activities to support private equity funds, financial institutions, and other clients in making strategic investment decisions. Your role will involve preparing due diligence reports, conducting investigative research, discreet intelligence gathering, and building positive client relationships. Key Responsibilities: - Experience in Primary or L2 Research, Discreet calling, conducting Investigative Interviews, Investigative Research in Pre-Investment, Discreet Intelligence Gathering, and Discreet Inquiries is preferred. - Preparing due diligence reports aimed at supporting private equity funds and financial institutions in strategic investment decision making and commercial, legal, and regulatory dispute and compliance matters in India. - Researching specific targets to identify any red flags that could be damaging to an organization, including background checks related to shareholding/ownership structure, key personnel, pending litigation, market reputation, business style, regulatory non-compliance, adverse media checks, credit checks, international watch lists, etc. - Building positive client relationships, enhancing firm and personal brand value, and consistently delivering client delight. - Understanding the client's business, maintaining confidentiality, monitoring progress, managing risk, and ensuring key stakeholders are informed about progress and expected outcomes. - Reviewing team deliverables, guiding new team members, and delegating work with defined timelines. Qualifications: - Graduate/Post Graduate in Commerce, Economics, or Arts, Masters in any stream/MBA. - 7-10 years of experience in Corporate Intelligence, Primary research, Senior management Due Diligence, Ethics and Integrity Due diligence, or related fields. - Excellent communication skills, ability to convey messages clearly and concisely, maintain quality across deliverables, and handle sensitive information. - Strong analytical skills, ability to identify solutions to problems, moderate understanding of IT systems, and knowledge of MS Office. - Willingness to develop additional skill sets as prescribed by the practice.,
