Summary The Applications Manager role is to act as the lead technical products liaison for the customer. The Applications Manager will analyze the needs of the customer to offer reasonable and efficient product design/development engineering solutions. Qualifications Education and Experience To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The incumbent of this role must have a University Degree in Engineering, with minimum of twelve (12) years related experience and/or CIPET/NTTF with minimum of 15 years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with SAP or an ERP system is preferred. The individual should have an excellent record with Engineering, Technical Sales Representatives and Manufacturing to help identify development opportunities, evaluate competitive products and determine product costing. About The Position The Geomechanics Fracturing Modeling Specialist will provide fracture modeling support to enhance shale & tight (S&T) recovery, reduce cost, optimize completion designs, enable safe fracturing operations, reduce environmental risk, and safeguard the system integrity & reliability. The position supports the construction, setup and execution of geomechanically models for hydraulic fracturing that are integral to S&T business unit (BU) activities. Strong knowledge in fracture mechanics is required. Extensive experience in geomechanics, stimulation and reservoir simulation is required. Advanced degree in geomechanics or related discipline is required. A functional knowledge of shale and tight operations, the role geomechanics plays in them, and geomechanics related business decisions is required. Background in development of 1d or 3D Mechanical Earth Models (MEM) is preferred. The role brings together working subsurface knowledge and expertise in a growing technical area with significant impact to shale & tight (unconventional) assets. The role requires close collaboration with subject matter experts and chapter managers in Chevron Technical Center to maintain workflow alignment. We believe you bring (Education & Experience): At least graduate chemical technologist or chemistry postgraduate or similar discipline required. 3 – 5 years’ experience in water-based paints and coatings raw materials. Knowledge of rheology modifiers, their types, uses. Formulating paints using different types of rheology modifiers to target specific viscosity and application in water based. architectural coatings. Knowledge of other raw materials of water based architectural coatings. Experience with formulation/product development. Understanding of various standards, techniques, methodologies and tools. Ability to develop and implement new solutions. Strong written and technical communication skills. Ability to collect and analyze data. Ability to keep up to date on current trends.
