Shell Finance Operations Upstream Revenue Accounting (URA) S4 process Expert is primarily responsible for supporting asset-by-asset transition of Upstream Revenue Accounting processes from SAP ECC architecture into SAP S4 architecture.Upstream Revenue Accounting S4 Process expert will play a key role in getting fit-for-purpose S4 URA processes developed by the S4 project and IT teams, tested by the URA staff and implemented by IT within the project timeline.
What's the role
URA S4 Process Expert should be able to:
- Develop expertise on various sub-processes of Upstream Revenue Accounting (URA)
- prepare relevant process flow documents for S4 using IBM Blueworks Live
- provide/lead detailed walk throughs of the process to various S4 teams including IT and Finance Controls teams as required
- understand the connected other Finance Operations (FO) and business processes and identify the interfaces between URA and the respective connected processes
- work with members across different teams of URA, S4 IT and other FO processes to accomplish the required product/process development and delivery
- make process decisions required to develop fit for purpose S4 solutions for various URA processes
- contribute in build stage of the URA S4 processes
- guide and ensure a fit-for-purpose UAT for all URA processes within the time frame provided by the S4 project team
- ensure 100% completion of processes documentation for URA processes before go-live
- work with Finance Controls team in identifying the process risks and implementing the necessary finance control framework as necessary
Leadership qualities required:
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with URA process teams, other related F Operation process teams and with S4 organization
- Influencing skills in getting things done without authority as this role mainly involves getting key process information for deciding on S4 design
- Ability to communicate with Finance Operation processes and IT teams in a professional manner
- Ability to establish ongoing relationships with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of expectations
Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- A Professional degree in Finance or Accounting (CA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Overall work experience of 12-15 years in Finance or Accounting operations out of which minimum of 5 years as SME
- Should have worked as part of ERP transition
- Project Management skills to play key role for URA in a multi-faceted project such as S4
- Good communication skills
- Influencing skills in getting things done without authority
- Good knowledge of PowerPoint
