Job Summary

Retina Specialist / Vitreoretinal Surgeon

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage retinal diseases including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and other complex retinal disorders
• Perform intravitreal injections, retinal laser procedures, and vitreoretinal surgeries
• Interpret diagnostic imaging (OCT, fluorescein angiography, B-scan ultrasound, etc.)
• Collaborate with optometrists, general ophthalmologists, and other sub-specialists for comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with clinical protocols
• Participate in clinical meetings, continuous education, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD/DO) with completed residency in Ophthalmology
• Fellowship-trained in Vitreoretinal Surgery or Medical Retina
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Ophthalmology
• Valid medical license to practice (or eligibility to obtain) in [State/Country]
• Excellent clinical and surgical judgment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
