Retail Store Sales Staff Responsibilities Customer Service Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries. Provide product information and make recommendations. Resolve customer complaints or escalate issues to management. Sales and Upselling Meet or exceed sales targets. Promote current sales, promotions, and loyalty programs. Suggest complementary products (upselling and cross-selling). Merchandising Ensure shelves and displays are well-stocked and organized. Arrange products according to store layout and marketing plans. Maintain cleanliness and visual appeal of the store. Cash Handling Operate cash registers, handle cash, credit/debit card transactions. Issue receipts and handle returns/exchanges following store policies. Inventory Management Assist with receiving, unpacking, and stocking merchandise. Conduct inventory counts and report discrepancies. Product Knowledge Stay informed about new arrivals, features, and pricing. Understand product categories and customer needs. Team Collaboration Work cooperatively with coworkers to ensure smooth store operations. Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and briefings. Loss Prevention Follow store security and loss prevention protocols. Report suspicious behavior or theft to management.
