Retail Data insights Analyst

Role Overview: As part of bp's transition to an integrated energy company, the Customers & Products (C&P) business area is establishing a Business and Technology Centre (BTC) in Pune, India. The BTC aims to enhance customer experience, foster innovation, and build global capabilities at scale. As a member of the Mobility & Convenience Europe team, you will be responsible for analysing and interpreting retail-related data to support and challenge the UK retail operations team in achieving strategic objectives. This role plays a crucial part in transforming data into actionable insights that drive efficiency, improve customer experience, and enable better decision-making. Key Responsibilities: - Analyse and interpret retail-related data, insights, and trends to support and challenge the UK retail operations team - Provide dedicated expertise and recommendations across key operating pillars and KPIs of retail operations, including safe operations, people, customer, and commercial aspects - Collaborate closely with end-users and other functions within the business to tailor data and insight provision - Utilise external data, insight, and market-trend platforms to ensure an outward-looking approach - Build expertise in optimizing tools, reports, and systems to increase efficiency and performance - Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards/reports in Power BI and Excel - Promote a data-driven culture across Retail Operations through collaboration with other data analysts and sharing standard methodologies Qualifications Required: - Degree or equivalent experience preferable - 3-5 years of experience in a data-led role within a fast-paced retail/FMCG business - Highly motivated with strong planning and prioritizing skills - Ability to handle and interpret large amounts of data effectively - Strong communication skills and proven ability to influence across multiple levels - Technical expertise in data tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL preferred Additional Company Details: Joining the dynamic Data Insights team within UK Retail Operations, you will work closely with Retail Operations leadership, frontline site managers, and various analysts across the business.
