Job Summary

Digital Film Restoration Artist

Key Responsibilities

• Perform

  digital restoration

  of film and video content including dust, scratch, flicker, grain, jitter, and stability correction
• Execute

  manual and automated cleanup

  for severe damage such as torn frames, stains, dropouts, and color fading
• Restore and balance

  black & white and color footage

  to achieve natural, era-accurate results
• Work closely with

  colorists, DI artists, and QC teams

  to ensure consistent output quality
• Prepare restored masters as per

  broadcast and OTT delivery specifications

• Maintain strict adherence to

  project timelines and quality benchmarks

• Document restoration workflows and contribute to process improvements

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–6 years of hands-on experience in

  digital film / video restoration

• HS Art Diamant (preferred)
• PF Clean / Phoenix / similar restoration software
• Good understanding of

  film formats, codecs, color science, and archival workflows

• Ability to perform

  frame-by-frame manual restoration

  when required
• Strong visual sensitivity and patience for detail-oriented work

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with

  archival, legacy, or culturally significant content

• Familiarity with

  4K / UHD restoration workflows

• Knowledge of

  AI-assisted restoration tools

  is a plus
