Restaurant Steward

The Restaurant Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the restaurant and kitchen area, assisting in food and beverage service, and ensuring a smooth guest dining experience by supporting the service staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in setting up tables, arranging cutlery, crockery, glassware, and linen.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the dining area, service stations, and pantry.
• Ensure tables are properly cleared and reset for the next guests.
• Support kitchen and service teams by carrying food orders, refilling water, and replenishing supplies.
• Follow hygiene, safety, and grooming standards at all times.
• Handle guest requests promptly and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Coordinate with the stewarding team for dishwashing and overall cleanliness.
• Report shortages, breakages, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school/diploma in hospitality (preferred but not mandatory).
• Prior experience in a restaurant, café, or hotel environment is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude towards service.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long hours.
• Ability to carry trays, plates, and supplies up to [X] kg.
