Restaurant Cashier

Job Summary

The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for handling all guest billing and cash transactions accurately and efficiently. This role ensures smooth operations of the restaurant’s billing counter, maintains accurate financial records, and provides excellent customer service to all guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests courteously and process their bills promptly and accurately.
• Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions in accordance with company policies.
• Issue receipts, refunds, or change as required.
• Maintain daily cash register reports and ensure all transactions are reconciled at the end of each shift.
• Support the service team by coordinating with servers and kitchen staff for order updates and billing accuracy.
• Ensure that all guest queries related to billing or pricing are handled professionally.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cash handling and record keeping.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier’s counter.
• Assist in preparing daily sales reports and submitting them to the Accounts or F&B department.
• Comply with company policies regarding grooming, conduct, and service standards.
• Report discrepancies or suspicious transactions immediately to the Restaurant Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Cashier in a restaurant or hospitality setup.
• Basic understanding of POS (Point of Sale) systems and billing procedures.
• Strong numerical and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude.
• Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays as per restaurant operations.
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, POS software, etc.).

Education

• Minimum 12th Pass or Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or a related field preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
