Resilience Officer

As a Resilience Officer at NHS Borders, you will have the opportunity to work closely with services to lead and support vital aspects of Emergency Planning and Business Continuity. Your role will involve ensuring that the organization is well-prepared to handle major incidents, emerging threats, and system-wide disruptions through planning, training, exercising, and post-incident learning. You will provide specialist advice on resilience and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to enhance emergency preparedness. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and support Emergency Planning and Business Continuity activities across NHS Borders - Provide specialist advice on resilience and collaborate with internal and external partners - Ensure the organization is ready to respond to major incidents, emerging threats, and disruptions - Deliver training, lead exercises, and work across multi-agency environments Qualifications Required: - Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience - Solid working knowledge of emergency planning, business continuity, and resilience principles - Experience in delivering training, leading exercises, and working in multi-agency environments This role offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to contribute to how NHS Borders prepares for and responds to risk.
