Research Chemist – Organic Chemistry

Research Chemist

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform multistep organic synthesis and reaction optimization on lab scale
• Operate and maintain various lab reactors (glass, stainless steel, jacketed)
• Handle and calibrate lab instruments such as rotary evaporators, vacuum pumps, stirrers, pH meters, ovens, etc.
• Conduct product purification using distillation, crystallization, extraction, and chromatography
• Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, batch records, and lab observations
• Follow SOPs, safety guidelines, GLP/GMP norms
• Support scale-up processes and pilot plant trials when required
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as QA/QC, production, and regulatory affairs
• Develop and optimize

  advanced delivery systems

  including

  Liposomes, NLCs, micro/nanoencapsulation technologies

  for active ingredients

Required Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of

  organic reaction mechanisms and synthetic strategies

• Strong experience with

  hazardous chemicals and lab safety protocols

• Working familiarity with analytical techniques such as TLC, HPLC, GC, and FTIR
• Capability to

  independently manage multiple R&D projects

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and scientific documentation skills

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work in

  chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or specialty ingredient R&D labs

• Exposure to

  delivery system development

  for actives (Liposomes, NLCs, etc.) is

  highly preferred

• Experience with

  pilot plant operations and process scale-up
