Research Associate

The ideal candidate should possess prior experience in API process development activities along with a solid understanding of API Kilo lab and pilot plant operations. Your responsibilities will include conducting process development activities such as feasibility studies, optimization, validation of assurance batches, identification of critical process parameters and quality attributes. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing Process Development Reports, scale-up activities, and working in the kilo lab environment. Your role will involve studying and modifying reaction/process conditions in accordance with Quality by Design (QBD) principles to ensure the successful production of target compounds. You will need to manage your work time efficiently to run multiple reactions concurrently and focus on producing target compounds, with minimal distraction from side reactions. Furthermore, you will be required to conduct literature searches for specific target compounds, related structures, or optimal reaction conditions. Staying updated with the latest scientific literature and engaging in discussions with colleagues to share new findings will be crucial. As part of the role, you must identify efficient and robust synthetic routes for the preparation of New Chemical Entity (NCE) compounds (APIs) and use analytical data to guide synthetic experimental plans. Proficiency in utilizing tools like Scifinder for scientific literature searches is essential for success in this position. The candidate should be capable of handling batches ranging from gram scale to kilogram scale and maintaining accurate records of experiments, observations, and relevant data in laboratory books. Additionally, you will be responsible for transferring API and intermediate processes through scale-up, piloting, and implementation on the plant floor.,
