Research Associate I

As a Research Associate-I (RA-I) in the area of Synthetic Biology and Systems Biology at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, you will be responsible for: - Conducting research in the field of Synthetic Biology and Systems Biology - Contributing to gene cloning, plasmid construction, mutagenesis, and regulatory sequence design - Performing bacterial or mammalian cell culture and reporter-based characterization - Utilizing techniques such as qPCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and microscopy - Executing DNA/RNA workflows, sequencing, and plasmid copy-number determination - Applying biochemical assays and conducting data analysis Qualifications required for this position are: - PhD in Biotechnology, Biosciences, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Biophysics, or a related discipline OR - MSc/MTech/ME in a relevant discipline with at least three years of research experience (post MSc/MTech/ME) and at least one SCI-indexed publication Desirable experience includes: - Strong background in molecular biology and synthetic biology - Experience in gene cloning, plasmid construction, mutagenesis, and regulatory sequence design - Hands-on experience with bacterial or mammalian cell culture and reporter-based characterization - Familiarity with qPCR, Western blotting, ELISA, microscopy - Experience in DNA/RNA workflows, sequencing, and plasmid copy-number determination - Working knowledge of biochemical assays and data analysis If you are interested in applying for this position, you can fill out the application form at https://lnkd.in/gYcaDMAF.
