As a Research Associate - Battery Materials at Nexus Power, you will be part of a dynamic team working on cutting-edge research in rechargeable batteries and advanced materials. Your role will involve conducting independent and collaborative research, innovating in material synthesis and testing, and analyzing data to optimize battery performance. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior researchers and contribute to comprehensive reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct independent and collaborative research focused on rechargeable batteries. - Innovate in the synthesis, testing, and enhancement of battery materials for superior performance. - Perform detailed physical and electrochemical characterizations of synthesized materials. - Analyze and interpret data to optimize cell performance. - Troubleshoot and resolve challenges effectively. - Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and industry partners. - Mentor junior researchers, providing guidance on experimental design. - Address and resolve complex research challenges effectively. Qualification Required: - Ph.D. in Materials Science, Energy Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, or related fields. OR - M.Tech/M.Sc. in Materials Science, Energy Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, or related fields, with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience. - Demonstrated research experience in rechargeable batteries, supported by thesis or published work. - Proficient in safety protocols, environmental considerations, and simulation tools. - Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. - Committed to staying updated on advancements in battery technology.
