Research Associate - Battery Materials

You will be joining Nexus Power team as a Research Associate - Battery Materials, where you will contribute to cutting-edge research in rechargeable batteries and advanced materials. Your role will involve conducting independent and collaborative research, innovating in the synthesis and testing of battery materials, performing detailed physical and electrochemical characterizations, analyzing data, preparing reports and presentations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior researchers or interns. Your proven ability to address and resolve complex research challenges will be crucial in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct independent and collaborative research focused on rechargeable batteries. - Innovate in the synthesis, testing, and enhancement of battery materials. - Perform detailed physical and electrochemical characterizations of synthesized materials. - Analyze and interpret data to optimize cell performance. - Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and industry partners. - Mentor junior researchers or interns. - Address and resolve complex research challenges effectively. Qualifications Required: - Ph.D. in Materials Science, Energy Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, or related fields. OR - M.Tech/M.Sc. in Materials Science, Energy Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, or related fields, with a minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience. - Demonstrated research experience in rechargeable batteries, supported by a thesis or substantial published work. - Proficient in safety protocols, environmental considerations, and simulation tools for material design and battery performance modeling. - Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. - Committed to staying updated on the latest advancements in battery technology and research.
