Job Description

1. masters in Public Health, Sociology, Bioethics, Anthropology or similar or Bachelors in the Liberal Arts from a we'll established university.
2. Skills in qualitative research methods, including conducting and analysing qualitative data, the use of NVivo
3. Organisational and administrative skills
The successful applicant must be able to work independently as we'll as work collaboratively within a diverse research team. The applicant must be flexible to working across different time zones. Travel across countries is envisioned.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

1) Conduct qualitative research through in person interviews with lab staff at the selected sites in Bangalore (including institution/research directors, research fellows, PhD scholars, associates, technicians, PIs etc). Conduct Walk along interviews (following ethnographic methods) at the selected labs.
2) Conduct in-depth interviews with health research actors outside the research sites (government / policy makers, research fellows, associates, technicians, PIs, funding body representatives, any other relevant actors) to gain a wider diversity of views
3) Plan, coordinate and attend training workshops with tool developers and conduct similar workshops with lab staff along with Focus Group Discussions to understand the perceived relevance of these tools and any perceived issues
4) Follow up with potential users trialling the tools for 3-6 months with reminders on maintaining a digital diary and photo voice, followe'd by FGDs to gather feedback experiences (barriers/benefits of tools), unintended (or intended) consequences, and perceptions of the tool as a way to address sustainability.
5) Conduct inductive coding on all of the above empirical data scheme followe'd by discussions with other collaborating countries
6) Organize co-designing workshops with research communities and other country investigators to develop communication resources
7) Contribute to additional resources including webinars and video case studies of best practice - for the research community of practice being built during the SHARE project.
8) Participate in project coordination and knowledge exchange meetings throughout the SHARE project, and to assist with administration duties
