Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic
Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)
in
Chemistry
to join our CBSE school in Kalaburagi. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching young minds in grades 6–10 (or appropriate classes as per school norms).
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver Chemistry lessons aligned with the CBSE syllabus.
- Design and implement lesson plans that are engaging and interactive, catering to varied learning styles.
- Conduct practicals / laboratory sessions safely and effectively.
- Assess and evaluate student performance via regular tests, homework, assignments, and examinations.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, helping them improve concept clarity and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, lab safety, and other academic documentation.
- Help students prepare for CBSE exams / board assessments.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress.
- Contribute to extra‑curricular and co‑curricular activities (science fairs, clubs, etc.).
- Collaborate with colleagues for curriculum planning and share best practices.
- Stay updated with CBSE board updates, pedagogical methods, and use of educational technology.
Qualifications & Skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (B.Sc) or related field.
- B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience as a TGT in a CBSE school preferred.
- Sound knowledge of CBSE Chemistry syllabus, including practicals.
- Good classroom management skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English (plus local language if applicable).
- Ability to simplify complex topics and make lessons interesting.
- Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
- Full‑time position.
- Expected working hours: as per school schedule (morning to afternoon / as decided by the school).
- Semi‑furnished accommodation provided by school (details to be discussed).
