Reporting Analyst

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation of monthly management reports, quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting process, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided for informed decision making. Analyse, review and provide insight using financial data to evaluate financial performance against performance indicators as well as non-financial performance such as regulatory requirements. Develop and maintaining models that provide insights such a trend analysis and variance analysis. Explore using data tools such as PowerBI to consolidate information from different sources and streamline processes. Working closely with transactional finance teams to help improve processes, add additional value to financial information. Translating finance for non-finance stakeholder through; powerful insights, storytelling and action plans. Support continuous improvements in procurement process to achieve efficiencies as well as improving governance and controls. Undertake ad-hoc activities supporting the wider finance teams to ensure team goals are delivered. Essential Requirements: Qualified / Part-Qualified with a recognised financial body. Ability to demonstrate key accounting principles. Commercial acumen. Prior experience in driving value and understanding key business levers. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and strategically. Confident communicator to all stakeholders at different levels. Excellent and confident communication skills with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. A proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines. Resilient and able to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in higher education industry is desirable but not essential .
