Remote Elecrical Design Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Remote Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and developing electrical systems and schematics for residential, commercial, or industrial projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge, proficiency in electrical design software, and the ability to collaborate remotely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Design electrical systems including:

• Power distribution (LV/MV)
• Lighting and lighting controls
• Emergency and backup power systems
• Earthing and lightning protection systems
• Panel board and switchgear layouts
• Prepare detailed design drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), load schedules, and cable sizing calculations.
• Develop technical documentation including BOQs, specifications, and datasheets.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, BS, IEEE).
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural and MEP teams via remote collaboration tools.
• Review and approve contractor/shop drawings and submittals as needed.
• Support project bidding, estimation, and value engineering processes.
• Attend remote meetings with project stakeholders and provide regular updates.
• Perform design revisions based on feedback from consultants or clients.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in electrical system design.
• Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, ETAP, or similar.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards.
• Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects
