Regulatory Reporting Developer

You will be working as an Oracle PLSQL Expert with good accounting knowledge at Fusion Practices, a fast-growing consultancy. Your role will involve acting as a liaison among stakeholders to analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. It is essential that you understand the accounting lifecycle of Banking regulator. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate within a project team to deliver IT changes within the regulatory accounting space - Work closely with the project team and Finance on change and development tasks - Develop new functionality or enhancements using Oracle database technologies such as PL/SQL based packaged procedures, functions, VPD, views, materialized views, common database APIs, SQL*Loader routines, etc. - Ensure database development aligns with modern Oracle database practices focusing on optimization, throughput, scale, and efficiency in design - Analyze financial data, run queries, and provide summarized extracts to business analysts - Document development through technical design documents, installation documents, and unit test cases - Provide progress updates and issue statuses to stakeholders - Collaborate with Oracle support, raising SRs as needed and providing diagnostic information - Ensure all development is compliant with MUSI change control and information risk policies - Communicate with wider technology teams to ensure controlled and coordinated execution of fixes or enhancements Qualifications Required: - Extensive experience with database management systems, particularly Oracle - Expertise in database languages including SQL*Plus & PL/SQL, with a preference for working on Financial accounting systems - Strong experience with interfaces and familiarity with ETL techniques, particularly Informatica - Previous involvement in project implementations with a solid understanding of the project life cycle and implementation techniques - Excellent communication skills to engage with various stakeholders, including department heads - Exposure to scheduling software such as Control-M, Autosys, Tivoli, etc. (Note: No additional details about the company were provided in the job description.),
