Regulatory Compliance Lead, Risk, Compliance and Integrity

Role Overview: The Google Compliance team is responsible for ensuring that the business operations are compliant with current financial regulations. As a part of this team, your role involves proactively identifying pain points and gaps in existing policy frameworks and coming up with innovative solutions. You will be developing efficient compliance systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement them across the organization. Your thoroughness and attention to detail will play a crucial role in ensuring that Google remains compliant while pursuing new ideas. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations from Indian regulators, overseeing reviews, enforcement efforts, and drafting regulatory responses. - Engage with regulators on emerging topics, acting as a bridge to align Google's strategy with regulatory expectations. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and implement compliance policies and processes across Google's operations in India. - Identify and assess emerging legal risks through regulator discussions, mapping regulatory advisories and due diligence obligations to platform policies, and presenting findings to functional leadership. - Lead internal projects, ensuring proper documentation, including meeting minutes, leadership briefs, and strategic decks for alignment. Willingness to participate in non-standard working hours and travel as required. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.
