Regulatory Compliance Lead

Role Overview: The Google Compliance team ensures that the business operations are in compliance with current financial regulations. As a part of this team, your role involves proactively identifying pain points and gaps in existing policy frameworks and developing innovative solutions. You will be responsible for creating efficient compliance systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement these solutions across the organization. Your meticulous approach will ensure that Google's operations are aligned with regulatory requirements as the company pursues new initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Act as the primary point of contact for escalations from Indian regulators, overseeing reviews, enforcement efforts, and drafting regulatory responses. - Engage with regulators on emerging topics and align Google's strategy with regulatory expectations. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and implement policies and processes to ensure compliance across Google's operations in India. - Identify and assess emerging legal risks through discussions with regulators, tracking regulatory advisories, and mapping due diligence obligations to platform policies. - Lead internal projects, maintain documentation, write leadership briefs, and prepare strategic presentations for alignment. Be prepared to work non-standard hours and travel when required. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting. - Experience in organizing data and applying business context to enhance processes or operations.,
