Job Summary:

The Regional Meat & Fish In-Charge will be responsible for leading, managing, and optimizing the Meat & Fish category across multiple retail outlets in the Middle East, with a key focus on Saudi Arabia. The role involves overseeing procurement, merchandising, quality standards, operational efficiency, and team performance to ensure profitability, customer satisfaction, and compliance with regional regulations

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management

• Oversee end-to-end operations of the Meat & Fish category across all regional outlets.
  
• Ensure daily operational excellence, including product availability, freshness, hygiene, and display standards.
  
• Monitor stock levels, wastage, shrinkage, and implement corrective measures.
  
• Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and local regulatory requirements.
  

Category & Business Management

• Drive category performance by analyzing sales trends, margins, and customer preferences.
  
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance assortment, pricing, and promotions.
  
• Coordinate with the central procurement team for sourcing, vendor management, and cost negotiations.
  
• Identify new product opportunities and seasonal offerings to boost category growth.
  

Quality Assurance

• Maintain strict quality standards for meat and seafood handling, storage, cutting, and presentation.
  
• Ensure adherence to cold chain protocols and proper temperature maintenance.
  
• Conduct regular store audits to ensure compliance with quality and hygiene norms.
  

Team Leadership

• Lead, guide, and train Meat & Fish department teams across multiple stores.
  
• Set performance targets and ensure high productivity and skill enhancement.
  
• Support recruitment, training, and development of butchers, fishmongers, and department staff.
  

Customer Experience

• Ensure excellent service standards and product knowledge among staff.
  
• Address customer concerns and ensure consistent customer satisfaction.
  
• Enhance product displays and counters to improve footfall and sales.
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Food Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
  
• 12- 20 years of experience in Meat & Fish category management within retail/hypermarket/supermarket operations.
  
• Strong knowledge of meat and seafood cutting, processing, storage, and global sourcing.
  
• Expertise in retail KPIs including sales, margins, shrinkage, and category performance.
  
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Understanding of Middle Eastern market trends and regional food regulations.
  
• Ability to manage multi-location operations and large teams.
  

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to travel across regions within Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
  
• Strong negotiation and vendor management experience.
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
