Job Purpose

The role entails owning end to end and scaling the Trade Business for the bank at a region level in a cost effective manner. The role bearer is responsible for designing the sales strategy to build volumes across zone for mid corporate and pur liability customers. It includes building up teams, systems, process and culture amenable to the scale and consistency of delivery. The role will closely collaborate with the Wholesale Banking Product Head, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Risk, IT and Policy team to ensure development of a market leading solutions. The role is responsible for revenue growth and will develop strategies to drive product penetration while maintaining overall portfolio quality requirement. It has a Balance Sheet and P& L responsibility for the Trade sales business contributing to the larger organizational objectives of the bank.

Roles & Responsibilities

Complete ownership of regional portfolio of Trade Financebusiness. having targets of balancheet and Revenue numbers.Manage and grow the volume of business for Trade solutionsfor corporates and ensure that the overall revenue, cost, profitability andportfolio quality targets are metDirect the Sales team by providing strategic inputs andplans for distribution penetration in current markets as well as futuregeographic expansionDevelop constructive relationships with Customers and KeyStrategic Partners to drive growth of businessCollaborate with the Product Head and policies team toensure that the target segment is offered the best in class solutionsfunding/multi-funding requirementsProvide end to end solutioning and customization forcorporate clientsProvide best in class service and advisory service toexisting customers regarding their requirements and regulatory compliancesthereby making IDFC First their banking partner of choiceManage portfolio and ensure it is within risk appetite ofthe bank by monitoring and flagging early warning signsEnsure the successful adoption of internal compliances andregulatory framework across the businessMonitor key parameters on sales productivity, hiringquality and attrition rates and make necessary improvementsChampion IDFC First's customer first culture by drivingthe team to take up high degree servicing norms to ensure absolute customerdelightAttract and retain best-in-class talent for key roles intheir reporting structureDrive co-operation with product, technology, analytics andrisk teams to ensure smooth functioning of businessEnsure that sales team adhere to benchmarks/processes setup for finalizing commercials and other key parameters

Secondary Responsibilities

Champion the adoption of high quality market intelligenceand data analytics to promote product, solution and sales effectiveness in linewith the banks growth/profitability objectivesRecommend improvements to processes and policies acrossthe Corporate Liabilities business to drive operational efficiencies and highquality customer serviceKeep abreast with global market trends and competitorstrategies in key markets

Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities

Managing team of regional Trade sales persons.Guiding and mentoring team to achieve overall goals andobjectives of Trade Business.Work closely with Business Head and provide timely inputson improving efficiencies

Education Qualification

Graduate - AnyPost Graduate - MBA / CA

Experience

10 + Years with 3 + in Leadership Position in Transaction Banking in Trade Finance domain
