Regional Compliance Manager (APJ)

As the Regional Compliance Manager APJ at Leica Microsystems, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance within the Asia Pacific and Japan region. Your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating closely with commercial and support functions to provide compliance advice for daily business operations, marketing initiatives, clinical activities, and strategic initiatives. This involves overseeing the business partner due diligence program and managing sales and service partners. - Conducting internal investigations and offering support and expertise in critical matters. - Overseeing the development and implementation of Compliance campaigns, training sessions, and communications in the region. - Staying informed about changes in regulatory requirements, assessing their impact on the organization, conducting regular risk assessments, developing strategies to mitigate compliance risks, and monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of compliance controls and initiatives. - Promoting awareness of compliance issues and fostering a culture of ethical behavior through compliance training and awareness programs. Qualifications required for this role include: - Positive, energetic, and self-motivated personality with excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to engage in debate, influence business leaders, and work effectively with various stakeholders. - High integrity and ethics in all dealings, both internal and external. - Extensive experience in conducting internal investigations. Additional qualifications that would be beneficial for this role: - Experience in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or other highly regulated industries. - Certification such as CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) or similar would be a plus. - Fluency in an additional language like Korean or Japanese. This role may require approximately 20% travel within the region.
