Job Description

The Regional Business Manager - MP will be responsible for driving agriculture seed business growth in Madhya Pradesh by appointing and managing A-class dealers, maintaining strong channel relationships, and achieving revenue targets. This role also involves overseeing the on-ground product development team, ensuring effective product demonstrations, farmer engagement, and market development activities. Key Responsibilities: - Identify, appoint, and develop A-class dealers/distributors in key districts. - Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through channel partners. - Maintain regular dealer engagement, stock availability, and timely collections. - Develop joint business plans with dealers to maximize market share. - Monitor dealer performance and provide necessary support for business growth. - Drive sales of the company's seed portfolio in the state. - Identify potential markets and implement territory expansion strategies. - Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and schemes to suggest counter-strategies. - Ensure compliance with company pricing, discount, and credit policies. - Lead the Product Development (PD) team in planning and executing product demonstrations, field days, and farmer meetings. - Collect feedback from farmers and channel partners on product performance. - Supervise product development officers, field staff, and local sales executives. - Train and motivate the team to achieve sales and product development goals. - Submit regular sales, collection, and market intelligence reports. - Track dealer-wise and district-wise business performance. Candidate Profile: Education: B.Sc. / M.Sc. Agriculture preferred; MBA in Agri-Business / Marketing is an added advantage. Experience: 12-15 years in seed/agri-input sales with at least 7-8 years in a managerial role. Skills Required: - Strong dealer network and relationship management skills. - Good knowledge of seed business, cropping patterns, and farming practices in the state. - Team management, leadership, and communication skills. - Ability to travel extensively across the state.
