Job Description

Role Overview: You will lead a team of Area Business Managers and Relationship Managers to manage the portfolio of New-To-Bank (NTB) customers in the Agri SME sector within the assigned geography. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the Profit & Loss (P&L) for the designated area. It is essential for you to have a strong grasp on Trade, Forex, and working capital products. Your focus should be on enhancing granularity, expanding client base, and driving risk-calibrated operating profit. Additionally, you should possess acceptable knowledge of the respective geography and demonstrate the ability to swiftly recruit high-quality team members. Key Responsibilities: - Build a robust customer base by increasing product penetration and generating revenue through the provision of high-quality services on a consistent basis. - Develop strong connections and engagement with key clients and promoters to foster long-term relationships. - Drive the cross-selling of liability and other third-party products to newly onboarded customers. - Collaborate with internal bank channels and explore open market sourcing through Direct Marketing Agents (DMAs), Chartered Accountants (CAs), and financial consultants. - Establish networks and channels across various business segments through associations, industry bodies, warehouse managers, etc. - Enhance efficiency by monitoring processes and recommending improvements based on ground reality and market trends. - Continuously monitor and review accounts to ensure alignment with budgets. - Ensure portfolio hygiene by managing delinquencies, closures, security creation, etc. - Monitor team performance and provide positive motivation to achieve desired results. Qualifications Required: - Chartered Accountant (CA) or Post Graduate Diploma or Post Graduate in Banking and Finance or Commerce, etc. - Proficient in oral and written communication. - Strong skills in relationship management and leadership. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a team leader role. - Local market knowledge would be advantageous. - Ability to lead and cultivate a high-performance, results-oriented team. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in SME/assets funding work.
