Reference Data Analyst

Role Overview: As a Quality Analyst Professional at our company, you will be responsible for performing accuracy checks and defining timeliness, completeness, and accuracy metrics for Global Equities. Your role will involve conducting data checks, identifying data inaccuracies, analyzing results, and recommending solutions to enhance data quality efficiencies through automation and system edits. You will also be involved in developing and executing data cleanup initiatives to improve overall data quality processes. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct accuracy, timeliness, and completeness data checks on a predefined list of securities - Check data residing in the database of record against source documents - Identify, record, maintain, and report data inaccuracies and data omissions - Consolidate findings and analyze results by conducting root cause analysis - Examine error results, identify trends and patterns in errors to recommend possible solutions - Present statistics for accuracy, completeness, and distribution of errors - Escalate to management in instances of repetitive errors - Recommend creative ways to achieve data quality efficiencies through automation, system edits, and/or data quality reports - Develop and execute data cleanup initiatives - Produce Access queries and/or SQL to improve efficiencies in data quality processes Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, computer science, information management, or statistics - Minimum of one and a half (1.5) years of experience in Equity primary or Secondary processes - At least 6 months tenure in the current designation - Knowledge of SQL/Macro/Advanced Excel or any programming language is a big plus - Strong understanding of Global Taxable Secondary processes - Familiarity with internal applications like Ex share, Bond Eye, and Service Now - Good understanding of current processes, policies, and data flow - Excellent communication skills - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently (Note: No additional details about the company were provided in the job description),
