Role Overview: As a member of Capgemini, you will play a crucial role in reviewing and approving complex General Ledger Journals, Accruals, Provisions, allocations, and other entries based on agreed client procedures. You will also initiate accounting entries for non-standard events and rules not directly described in desktop procedures. Additionally, you will monitor fixed asset transactions, budgets, bank statement reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and period end close progress to ensure timely closure and reporting. Your responsibilities will also include preparing and reviewing period end reporting packs. Key Responsibilities: - Review and approve complex General Ledger Journals, Accruals, Provisions, and other entries as per agreed procedures - Initiate accounting entries for non-standard events and rules - Review fixed asset related entries and monitor transactions and budgets - Monitor bank statement reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations - Manage period end close progress and prepare/review period end reporting packs - Review financial, management, and statutory reporting with analytical insights - Review tax and statutory reporting - Monitor and test financial controls as per Client Controls Framework - Handle queries and escalations from client stakeholders Qualifications Required: - Solid experience in financial accounting and reporting - Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide insights into financial data - Knowledge of tax and statutory reporting requirements - Experience in monitoring and testing financial controls - Excellent communication skills to handle client queries and escalations (Note: Additional details about Capgemini's global presence and services were also provided in the job description.)
