Job Description

Reporting Role focuses on managing the financial reporting lifecycle, including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance and accuracy during the financial closing process. Key responsibilities involve collaborating with various departments, identifying discrepancies, investigating their root causes, and implementing corrective actions. 

Essential skills for this role include strong accounting knowledge, Excel experience with ERP( SAP & Oracle,) analytical skills, and excellent communication skills. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting:

     Consolidation & review/ submission

Prepare and generate accurate financial reports, statements, and trial balances for internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Account Reconciliation:

Perform detailed account reconciliations validation to ensure accuracy and consistency across different financial records. 

  • Journal Entries:

Post journal entries and manage accounting transactions in the general ledger. 

  • Financial Close:

Manage and participate in the end-to-end financial closing activities (month-end, quarter-end) to ensure timely and accurate reporting. 

  • Data Analysis:

Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies and variances, and investigate their root causes. 

  • Compliance and Controls:

Support internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. 

  • Audits:

Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide necessary documentation and support. 

  • Process Improvement:

Identify areas for process improvements and implement initiatives to drive efficiency in the R2R process. 

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

Liaise with other departments (e.g., operations, finance) to gather information and resolve queries. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Accounting Knowledge:

     Strong understanding of general accounting principles, general ledger, and various accounting flows. 
  • Technical Skills:

     Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems like SAP. 
  • Analytical Skills:

     Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to review data and identify discrepancies. 
  • Communication Skills:

     Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and present information clearly. 
  • Problem-Solving:

     Ability to identify the root causes of discrepancies and implement corrective actions. 
  • Collaboration:

     Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with various departments. 
  • Education:

    CA, CPA  only with BPO experience of minimum 4-5 years in controllership reporting role.
