Job Description

As a Reconciliation Associate Junior Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily reconciliation of custody and cash positions to maintain data accuracy within our internal systems. Your responsibilities will include identifying, investigating, and resolving discrepancies within defined deadlines and service levels. This role provides a valuable learning opportunity for individuals at the beginning of their careers in finance or operations, particularly for those keen on honing their analytical skills and gaining exposure to various financial products and systems. You will be tasked with supporting the reconciliation of transactions and positions between custody records and internal systems. This involves monitoring and investigating daily cash and stock discrepancies, escalating issues as necessary, and collaborating with internal teams or external parties to address them promptly. Additionally, you will assist in reconciling outstanding OTC bilateral collateral and fixed deposit positions against counterparty data, updating internal systems with financial information such as income and fees when required. In this role, you must efficiently handle high volumes of data while effectively prioritizing tasks based on risk and deadlines. Engaging with internal stakeholders, custodians, and administrators to address queries and ensure timely closure of breaks will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Your contribution to maintaining data integrity across systems and facilitating a smooth reconciliation process will be essential. Furthermore, active participation in department initiatives and learning from process enhancements and automation projects are expected. We are looking for individuals willing to undergo structured training related to financial operations and reconciliation processes. While a basic understanding or prior exposure to reconciliations or investment operations is advantageous, a strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability are paramount. Familiarity with financial products like equities, fixed income, and derivatives is considered a plus. Proficiency in MS Excel and basic financial software, coupled with good communication skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset, are essential for success in this role. You should be adept at managing time effectively, adapting to shifting priorities, and demonstrating curiosity, openness to feedback, and a commitment to continuous learning and team development. Building strong working relationships across functions and being enthusiastic about innovation and process improvement are qualities we value in potential candidates. As part of the job requirements, willingness to travel to the United Kingdom as and when required is necessary, and possession of a valid passport is mandatory.,
