Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our establishment. The ideal candidate will handle guest check-ins and check-outs, manage reservations, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure guests have a pleasant experience during their stay. This role requires excellent communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Check-In and Check-Out:
  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure.
  • Handle the check-in and check-out process, including verifying reservations, issuing room keys, and settling bills.
  • Ensure guest identification and payment details are accurately recorded.
  • Reservation Management:
  • Manage room bookings and process modifications or cancellations as requested.
  • Handle walk-in inquiries and provide information about room availability and rates.
  • Update the property management system (PMS) with accurate reservation details.
  • Customer Service:
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests in person, over the phone, or via email.
  • Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and transportation options.
  • Resolve guest complaints or escalate issues to the appropriate department for resolution.
  • Communication and Coordination:
  • Communicate guest needs and special requests to housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments.
  • Maintain a professional and positive relationship with team members to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Billing and Payments:
  • Process payments, issue receipts, and manage cash, credit card, or other transactions securely.
  • Prepare invoices and handle billing inquiries or discrepancies.
  • Administrative Tasks:
  • Maintain accurate records of guest arrivals, departures, and activities in the hotel management system.
  • Monitor and respond to emails and reservation inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Assist in maintaining the reception area, ensuring it is clean and presentable at all times.
  • Safety and Security:
  • Adhere to hotel security protocols, including monitoring access to the property and safeguarding guest information.
  • Report any suspicious activities or emergencies to the appropriate authorities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or diploma in hospitality management is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Prior experience as a hotel receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with property management systems (e.g., Opera, Protel, or similar) is an advantage.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and basic computer skills.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
