Job Description

Role Overview: As an Analyst within the Structured Credit and Real Estate Underwriting (SCREU) team at our company, you will play a critical role in managing a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of real estate and asset securitization transactions. Your responsibilities will include supporting the monitoring and underwriting process for conventional and affordable housing, as well as related real estate sectors like REITS/REOC, casino/gaming, and homebuilders. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate proactively with the Underwriting team to facilitate timely information flow and communications among internal stakeholders - Monitor assigned deals to ensure compliance with financing terms, portfolio performance, and financial triggers, identifying and mitigating credit risks - Review and analyze servicer reports, investigate data trends, and stay informed about industry and market developments to contribute to quarterly portfolio reviews - Prepare annual credit approval and quarterly memos promptly - Model transactions for risk rating and stress testing purposes - Support special projects including stress testing, portfolio concentration analysis, internal audit & reviews, risk rating processes, and Credit Policies and Programs - Assist in reporting of Basel securitization parameters - Maintain organized credit files for compliance purposes and ensure adherence to WCR policies and processes - Analyze historical and pro forma financial statements of real estate properties to evaluate revenue trends, expense structures, and Net Operating Income (NOI) - Assess the financial health of borrowers and sponsors by examining their financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement) - Demonstrate a basic understanding of real estate valuation methodologies Qualifications Required: - 6+ years of credit, portfolio management, or structuring experience in a financial institution, rating agency, financial guarantor, or asset management firm; real estate or structured credit/securitization experience is beneficial - Strong interest in real estate/structured products and credit analysis - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with modeling experience being advantageous - Attention to detail and ability to conduct due diligence and documentation of transactions comprehensively - Effective oral and written communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders - Team player with a strong work ethic, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels - Strong organizational skills to work under pressure, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks effectively - Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and contribute ideas to mitigate risk within the SCREU team and Independent Risk Education: - MBA or CFA or CA Please note that this job description may be subject to additional job-related duties as required.,
